How it works

1. ⌨️
   Type a word

   Use the on-screen keyboard or your physical keyboard. No word can be reused in a round.

2. 🐍
   Watch the snake move

   Each letter advances the snake one cell. The letters U D L R also steer it — the snake follows your spelling.

3. 🍎
   Eat fruit to score

   Apples respawn. Rarer fruit appears only when you pull off clever word combos.

4. 💀
   Don't crash

   Hit a wall or yourself and it's game over. Active modifiers add extra constraints — break them and the snake dies.

Unlock secret fruit

Good words score points. Clever word choices spawn rare, high-value fruit.

  Apple — 10 pts

  Appears randomly on the grid. The bread and butter.

• 🍒
  Cherry — 50 pts

  Submit a palindrome (racecar, level, civic…). Reading the same forwards and backwards rewards you.

• 🍌
  Banana — 75 pts

  Keep your last three words in strict alphabetical order. Sustained vocabulary discipline earns this one.

• ⭐
  Star Fruit — 100 pts

  Submit a word that is the antonym of your previous word. Hot → Cold. Love → Hate.

• ✨
  Golden Apple — 200 pts

  A single word causes three or more valid direction changes. Master the steering to unlock the jackpot.

Escalating modifiers

As your score climbs, the game adds rules. Break a modifier rule and the snake dies instantly.

• 🔤 Letter ban

  Certain letters become forbidden. Plan your words around the gaps.

• 📏 Length limit

  Words must fall within a tight character-count range. Short words only, or long words only.

• 😐 Sentiment filter

  Only positive (or only neutral/positive) words allowed. Choose your mood carefully.
